About ‘It’s About People’
‘It’s About People’ is an annual international scholarly conference organised by Alma Mater Europaea University in coorganisation with the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and the World Academy of Art and Science. Since its inception, the conference has grown into the 14th edition, a recognised interdisciplinary event that brings together researchers, educators, health professionals, policymakers, and public intellectuals.
The conference takes place in a hybrid format (on-site in Maribor, Slovenia, and online via Zoom), making it accessible to participants from all over the world. Participation is free of charge.
Selected papers are published in peer-reviewed conference proceedings and partner journals.

About Alma Mater Europaea
Alma Mater Europaea University is an independent, internationally recognised institution under academic patronage of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts in Salzburg, which unites more than 2,000 leading scientists, including 37 Nobel laureates.
It has more than 2,000 students from over 30 countries and runs 27 study programmes across three faculties, from bachelor’s to doctoral level, with around 250 lecturers. The largest campus is in Maribor (over 1,000 students from more than 20 countries), alongside Ljubljana, Koper, Murska Sobota, Celje and Vienna.
