14th Annual Conference of Europe’s Sciences and Arts Leaders and Scholars

It’s About People: Answering Current Challenges in Culture, Health and Technology

13 – 18 March 2026 ONLINE

with an on-site plenary in Maribor, Slovenia

Alma Mater Europaea University in coorganisation with the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA) and the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS) invite scholars, researchers, thought leaders, public intellectuals, practitioners, and postgraduate students to submit original research, case studies, panel proposals, and academic insights for presentation at the 14th annual “It’s About People” conference, taking place from 13 to 18 March 2026.

This distinguished interdisciplinary event brings together Europe’s leading voices in science, the arts, and public discourse to confront the urgent challenges of our era—placing people, and their search for purpose and meaning, at the center of academic inquiry.

Main Theme and Objectives
As global societies grapple with cultural dislocation, disruptive technologies, and growing health disparities, this year’s theme highlights the human capacity for adaptation, reflection, and renewal. The conference invites participants to explore how education, policy, research, and dialogue can cultivate ethical, sustainable, and inclusive futures—founded on resilience and a sense of shared meaning.

A particular focus will be placed on:

  • The role of public intellectuals in shaping values-based dialogue across society
  • How academic knowledge can inform the Global Peace Offensive and broader movements for peace, justice, and human dignity
  • The integration of science, culture, and technology in addressing real-world problems with vision and hope

Key themes include:

  • Cultural transformation and identity in a changing world
  • Health system reform and population well-being
  • Digital and AI-driven technological change
  • Intersections of culture, health, and technology in sustainable development
  • Scholars are encouraged to consider both disciplinary depth and cross-sectoral collaboration, including the arts, ethics, humanities, and public engagement.

While the conference theme sets the tone, submissions from all scholarly disciplines are welcome, including:

  • Social and Natural Sciences
