Students will present the findings of their completed research projects. The panel will offer insight into diverse fields of contemporary science, medicine, philosophy, and technology, highlighting their relevance to individuals and society.

  • Vita Žigart Rubelj will present research on the effects of organic acids on starch hydrolysis and glycemic regulation, opening a discussion on complementary dietary approaches in diabetes management.
  • Neža Kuhar will report on the results of a retrospective study examining the effectiveness and safety of oral semaglutide in treating obesity in adults.
  • Katja Gavez will explore the comparison between communitarianism and moral universalism, as well as their connection to current political shifts in Europe.
  • Blaž Jesenik will present findings on the use of biometric systems in the age of artificial intelligence, addressing the psychological and ethical challenges of digital security.

The panel will demonstrate how high school research, grounded in scientific rigor and critical thinking, can make a meaningful contribution to understanding the key challenges of contemporary society.
